Here's a picture of Gracie riding Charlie. (Get it? Charlie horse? Joe named him. :)) She sits on Charlie and watches a Baby Einstein while I shower in the morning. I think it's cute to see her. Usually she rests her head on his mane and just watches...what a good girl. Don't you love her pig tails?!
Well, as you can see, Gracie is sporting a new 'do! Her hair is finally long enough to do pig tails and I think they look so cute. They make her look like a big girl! Yikes! I couldn't really get her to smile, so these pictures are kind of goofy, but still cute.
Grace isn't walking yet, but she's making a valiant effort. At the pool on Saturday she took two steps then sat down. We keep trying to help her along, but she's just taking it "a step at a time" as it were :) It is so amazing to me how fast she is becoming her own person. She definitely has her own personality, and now she's becoming so independent! She's changing so fast...sniff...sniff. But all these changes are awesome and make me love her even more. Next thing you know she'll be asking for the car keys...sheesh!
Sunday was Father's Day so I made a sign and had Gracie hold it so I could make a card on the computer :) I love how her hair is all frizzy because she just woke up...it's so cute!
Today, our model is sporting a neon pink and lime green "watermelon" swimming bikini, given to her by her cousins Rylee and Taytem! Isn't she divine?
Okay, okay, I know I'm a little overboard when it comes to how CUTE my daughter is, but hey, she's a DOLL! We went to the pool again today...which seems like our #1 summertime activity so far. It is so much fun, but I seriously need a tan so I'll stop blinding people! I'm sure I'll eventually get some sort of tan, but I know it'll take a while (darn these whitey genes!)

We have had a busy week! It's the first week of summer vacation so we've had Myles a few days, which has been really fun. We went to the pool yesterday and had a blast! Grace took about 10 minutes to get used to things, but after that she was crawling around in the baby splash pool and swinging in the water swing. Sadly, I didn't take my camera. I'll be sure to bring it next time we go (which, I'm sure will be soon!). Anyway, here are some pictures of Gracie who just woke up from her nap! She has recently started taking just one nap, and that is going really well. She's such a big girl!
Gracie was pretty darn sick on her birthday. We just gave her one present to open and then she was off to bed. Poor girl. But today was a different story! We had her birthday party today at the park and it was a blast! She still has a runny nose, etc. but she was much happier and was such a good girl today. We had all the family that live close come to celebrate with us and we managed to consume a 7 foot sub sandwich and 2 Costco trays of fruit! :) We like to eat, don't we peeps?? It was AWESOME and delicious and fun. I am so glad it all turned out so well. There are a couple of pictures above from her birthday and her party. The third picture is her ASLEEP while we open presents for her (princess, I know :)). The last picture is her on her awesome new rocking horse that grandma and grandpa gentry got for her! Don't look too closely or you'll see the snot. Gross. Gracie got a wicked cold yesterday (of course!) as a jolly birthday present from some stranger at church, no doubt. I feel so bad for her! It is SO lame that she's sick on her birthday. We were planning on going up to Salt Lake to have lunch with her daddy, grandma, and auntie, but that's been canceled. Oh well. We have a few small gifts for her to "open" tonight and that should be fun, and Joey said that he would bring something yummy home for dinner (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Mazza, our favorite mediterranean place). Hopefully she'll be back to herself by Saturday for her birthday party at the park. At least the party wasn't planned for today!
It seems pretty amazing to me that it was an entire year ago that she was born! I think the MOM of the person who's birthday it is should get the presents. :) I worked hard a year ago today! :) Just kidding. I can't believe it's been an entire year! We've had lots of tears, lots of laughs and lots of formula. Wowza! I'm excited to see what the next year of her life will bring. Hopefully, fewer tears, more laughs, and lots of hugs will be on the agenda.
